This presentation focuses on three exemplars of participatory research projects in Canada that use art genres to create and disseminate research on the perspectives of youth experiencing first episode psychosis. The projects include dance, mural art and digital storytelling. The unique ethical challenges of engaging in this participatory arts-based work are discussed including issues of ownership, anonymity, dangerous emotional terrain and the \u27goodness\u27 of the work
